Civil Engineering

We specialize primarily in surveying and site civil engineering projects.  We can work with you to get approvals for your site.

Typically our civil engineering services might include:

Major Site Plans

Detailed drawings and documentation required for large-scale or complex development projects (e.g., commercial centers, major residential subdivisions). These plans involve extensive review and multiple engineering disciplines.

Minor Site Plans

Simplified plans for smaller, less complex development projects (e.g., small office buildings, minor lot line adjustments, additions below a certain size threshold). They involve a quicker review process than Major Site Plans.

Building Plot Plans

A drawing that shows the proposed or existing building's location on the property, including setbacks, utilities, easements, and impervious coverage calculations. This is typically required for building permit applications.

Pool Plot Plans

A specific type of plot plan detailing the location, size, setbacks, safety barriers, and associated equipment for a proposed swimming pool or spa. Required for pool construction permits.

Variance Plans

Plans and exhibits prepared to support a request for relief (a variance) from local zoning ordinance requirements (e.g., requesting a smaller setback than is normally allowed).

Building Additions

Drawings detailing the structural, architectural, and site changes associated with expanding an existing building, ensuring compliance with zoning, building codes, and site regulations.

Soil Erosions & Sediment Control

Plans specifying temporary and permanent measures (e.g., silt fencing, sediment traps, vegetative cover) to prevent soil loss and protect nearby water bodies during and after construction activities.

Grading Plans

Drawings that establish the proposed changes to the existing topography, showing new and existing elevations, slopes, drainage patterns, and earthwork calculations to ensure proper site drainage.

Consulting

Providing professional advice and guidance on the feasibility, regulatory requirements, permitting processes, and technical aspects of land development, zoning, and construction projects.
