Land Surveying
Land surveying is perhaps the most important part of any project. Engineers cannot provide a good design without an accurate, quality survey. Surveys can be performed for a variety of reasons. We have the ability to deploy three to four field crews at a time, all equipped with the latest robotic and GNSS technology.
The following is a brief list of some of the surveying services we offer:
Construction Layout
We can provide construction layout or stakeout services for your construction project. Our stakeout projects have ranged from large US Military facilities to long utility routes to residential home additions.
Boundary Surveys
Establish the property lines of a parcel of land, defining the legal limits based on deeds and existing records, and often resulting in a plat or map.
Setting Corner Markers
The physical placement of durable markers (like iron rods or concrete monuments) at the legally defined corners of a property.
Large Acerage Boundary Surveys
Boundary surveys specifically performed for extensive tracts of land, often requiring specialized techniques and control networks due to size.
ALTA & NSPS Land Title Surveys
A comprehensive survey prepared to a detailed set of national standards, primarily for title insurance purposes, showing boundaries, improvements, easements, and exceptions.
Topographic Surveys
Identifies and maps the natural and man-made features of a site, including elevation changes (contours), providing a detailed picture of the ground's shape.
Title Surveys
A survey performed in connection with a land title insurance policy, verifying the location of improvements and confirming that the description matches the physical location.
Mapping
The creation of graphic representations (maps, plats, plans) of a property or area, often derived from survey data, aerial photography, or GIS information.
Exhibits
Simplified maps or drawings created for specific legal, planning, or informational purposes, often showing a portion of a larger property or a specific detail.
As-Built Surveys
Documents the exact location and dimensions of structures, utilities, and improvements as they were actually constructed, often required after construction completion.
Major & Minor Sub-Divisions
The process of dividing a large parcel of land into smaller lots for development, including creating the necessary plats, plans, and legal descriptions.
Elevation Certificates
A document that verifies the elevation of a structure (specifically the lowest floor) relative to the predicted base flood elevation, primarily used for flood insurance purposes.
Structural Steel Layout
Precise staking and layout to guide the placement and erection of a building's structural steel members.
Structual Steel As-Built Surveys
Documentation and verification of the precise final location and vertical alignment of structural steel components after erection.
Anchor Bolt As-Built-Surveys
Surveying the exact final position and elevation of anchor bolts embedded in concrete foundations to ensure they align correctly with the planned steel structure.
Monitioring Well Certifications
Surveying the location and elevation of groundwater monitoring wells and providing documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
Consulting
Providing professional advice, expertise, and recommendations related to land use, property rights, project feasibility, regulatory compliance, and surveying methodologies.
